Canadian Tire Mobile Media, Radio Shack to Sell Verizon Wireless, Wal-Mart Canada Goes Urban

Two Canadian Tire stores in Toronto, as well as a Calloway shopping center in Etobicoke, Canada, have launched the Bee Media personal mobile media service.

Bee Media offers an opt-in service that delivers location-specific, relevant offers and information to its member shoppers on their mobile devices while they are shopping.

U.S. retail e-commerce sales [pdf] for Q1 2011, adjusted for seasonal variation but not for price changes, were $46 billion, a 3.4% increase from $44.5 billion in Q4 2010, according to estimates from the Census Bureau.
