eBay Beats L’Oréal in Counterfeit Suit, Tiffany Appeals
eBay has been let off the hook by a Belgian court in a case brought against it by cosmetics manufacturer L’Oréal, which had claimed that the online auction giant did not do enough to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods on its site, reports Internet Retailer.

Wal-Mart Profits Rise 17%
Wal-Mart is one of the few retailers experiencing double-digit profit growth during a time of higher costs and lower spending, writes MarketWatch.
Second-quarter profit for the big box retailer rose an incredible 17%, and net income rose to $3.45 billion (87 cents a share) up from $2.95 billion (72 cents a share) a year earlier. Overall revenue increased 10.4% to $102.7 billion.
